Secretary - Elizabeth Dunn
Elizabeth Dunn is a Landscape Architect licensed in the State of California. She received her Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University and a Master s Degree in Project Management from Northwestern University s McCormick School of Engineering. Currently, she does most of her projects through the firm of Rebecca Coffman Landscape Architects (RCLA) in Nevada City, California. With RCLA, Elizabeth works on various projects including urban infill greenscaping, retreat center planning, mixed-use housing developments, and large scale residential estates. Independently, she consults with home owners on organizing their outdoor spaces.

Since moving to California in 2007, Elizabeth has focused her attention on the interface between the green building movement and her profession of landscape architecture. Through continued education and volunteerism, Elizabeth works as a catalyst in bringing the most current ideas to the forefront. She makes her expertise accessible through teaching landscape design workshops for Sierra College s Kaleidoscope program and offering community based landscape design presentations. Elizabeth is a member of the Sierra Permaculture Guild, the Redbud Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, and the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Elizabeth discovered SiGBA via the internet and was excited when the group decided to come down from Truckee and present their organization in Grass Valley in September of 2007. From that meeting, she volunteered to distribute the list of attendees. Then she, Jim Crowley and Jim Laasch formed a steering committee to explore the viability of having a SiGBA chapter in the foothills. She stepped up to the secretary role for the foothills and continues that responsibility in the now fully functioning Foothills Chapter of SiGBA. This year she also fills the sectary role for the SiGBA Board and is looking forward to helping to implement all the new ideas the SiGBA members and Board are developing.
