The tour will be guided via bus to 5 or 6 buildings where residents, designers and builders will be on hand to show what it s like to live in houses that use high efficiency energy measures and renewable energy for heating, cooling and hot water. Homes that use passive solar, active solar systems, geothermal heat pumps and recycled materials will be featured. Advanced home weatherization and low-water use landscaping techniques will also be highlighted during the tour. Guided Tour begins at the Tahoe Lake Elementary School in Tahoe City. Register online or on site from 9:00 to 9:20 A.M.
