The summer season is coming to a close and we are ready to embark on a busy fall. Based upon popular request, greenUP! has reformatted its meetings into a speaker format and open forum

Our 2nd speaker of the series is Travis Johnson, PE., Manager, Substation Construction & Maintenance giving a presentation on: NV Energy & Electric Vehicles Deployment, speaking Thursday, September 3 from 2:30 until 4:00 pm at NV Energy Cafeteria Conference Room, 6100 Neil Road, Reno, NV 89511.

Travis will discuss why EVs are good for our country, our customers, urban air quality, and green house emmissions. He will cover electric rates for EVs, how many cars we could charge at night, energy splits (where our energy comes from), and lots of other interesting aspects of the power system.

October 1 - Mel Zeldin, Director CAPCOA, California's GHG bill AB32 - Location: RTC

November 5 - Carol Perry/Erin Dixon/Amy Fitch, Walkability and bicycles - Location: RTC
