The Grass Valley Project integrates principles of Environmental Design, Green Building, Passive Solar, Natural Daylight, and Reclaimed Building Materials. Highly influenced by the adjacent Empire Mine State Park, the main goal for the project is to provide a concentrated example of vernacular design constructed with a hybrid of current and reclaimed building technology.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity for an intimate tour of this home along with the chance to meet and speak with the designers, builders and homeowner!

10:00 - 10:30 Check-in, Coffee & Tea (be green: BYO reuseable cup or mug), Network
10:30 - Noon Open House & Guided Tours
Noon: BYO brown bag lunch. Weather permitting, we can continue Q&A and open discussions over a backyard picnic.

Parking:
Parking is not plentiful at this point on Empire Street, but improves vastly after about 100 yards in either direction. Please be aware and courteous of neighbors' driveways. The street is used by trucks, so be sure to park well off the road. And, of course, carpool (or bike!) if you can!
