Site characteristics or focus during construction or remodel:
The building site was chosen primarily for the panoramic view of Job’s Peak and the surrounding mountains. The Heritage Nevada Sub-Division Site Improvement Plan was laid out with a spectacular view of the mountain range with all buyers in mind. The project consists of 59 single-family residences and a 140-unit condominium complex for seniors 55 and older.
Building Construction Type:
These homes are built using the LOGIX ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) Wall System and meet or exceed the energy calculation requirements set forth by the United States Government to earn an Energy Star Certification.
Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Measures Used in Project (LEED Cat III):
The foam insulation in LOGIX walls provides an overall thermal resistance rating of R-28. With an exceptionally high effective R-Value and reduced leakage, LOGIX wall assemblies deliver significantly higher thermal resistance than other methods. The homes have a reflective slab shield and an insulated foundation, R-45 ceiling insulation, dual-pane Low e windows, and we are using all G.E. Profile (Energy Star Rated) appliances.
Space & Water Heating Systems:
Heritage Nevada Space and Water heating systems: These homes have been designed with advanced energy efficient mechanical systems. Space heating and domestic water heating have been integrated into a single 92% efficient natural gas heating package.
The air conditioning system uses an airside economizer, which allows the homeowner to ventilate the house with 100% cool, filtered outdoor air without the need to run expensive mechanical cooling reducing cooling costs.
