Construction Type: Post and beam with straw bale infill and 2x6 framing

Passive Solar System: Double-pane clear south windows to maximize solar gain, low-e windows north, west, and east to minimize heat loss. Thermal mass walls and floors.

Active Solar System: Future plans for solar panels (prewired)

Main Heating System: Solar design and radiant floor system

Conservation Features: Small foot print; kept as many trees possible during construction; milled trees onsite for use (ie trim); attention to minimal waste during construction

Subjective Evaluation/ design considerations:  Steep uphill slope left limited options for design
