Sierra Green Building Association
2008 Resource Guide

2006 SiGBA Resource GuideProduction of the 2008 SiGBA Resource Guide is underway

Resource Guide production is one of the most exciting times of year for the Sierra Green Building Association.  This is the time of year where our business members get an opportunity to promote their business to our communities.  The rapid growth of the green building community means rapid growth for SiGBA.  The 2008 Resource Guide promises to be our best guides yet.  Our membership is rapidly expanding from our roots in Truckee to around Lake Tahoe, westward to the foothills communities around Grass Valley, and eastward into the great basin communities including Reno, Carson and beyond.

Advertising is Limited
February 29 Ad reservation deadline

In our efforts to reduce our consumption of resources, we are condensing the 2008 Resource Guide.  A smaller guide will help facilitate distribution as well as use less (recycled) paper.  Unfortunately this means advertising will be limited.  Contact our director of advertising sales, Rick Solinsky at (530) 587-9126 for information about advertising in our upcoming Resource Guide.

Member Directory

The Member Directory is one of the most asked-about components of our Resource Guide.  Our directory is a great way for your business to reach members of our community looking for information about green building products and services.  Contact Rick Solinsky at (530) 587-9126 to verify your membership status.  Members must be in good standing through 12/31/08 (at the Bronze Level or above) to be listed in the 2008 Resource Guide.  Visit our website to register online today.

Local Case Studies Green Building Articles
Living in the Sierra isn't without it's challenges.  Designing and building appropriately for the climate is a key to success for green building projects.  The Sierra Green Building Association highlights innovative projects throughout the community to help inspire effective, responsible building practices.

We are always looking for new projects to share with the community.  To submit your project, fill out our Case Study Application Form, and send it to Beth Harris at beth@gauntzimmerdesign.com.

Please hurry.  Send in your case study applications before March 10 so your project can be considered for the upcoming 2008 Resource Guide.

Education is a primary role of SiGBA.  Integrating time-proven natural building techniques with cutting-edge building science technology allows us to create buildings with less and less impact on our surroundings.  SiGBA Resource Guide articles provide strategies for homeowners and building professionals to create a sustainable built environment.

SiGBA is actively looking for authors who wish to contribute articles, illustrations, or other content that will  inspire our readers.  If you have an article you would like to be included in the 2008 Resource Guide, please send a brief outline or description of your proposed submittal to Beth Harris at beth@gauntzimmerdesign.com.
