Build It Green Trainings in Truckee

As a participant of the Build It Green class held at Northstar in April 2009, your two-year Certified Green Building Professional certification is about to expire. Luckily for you, Contractors Association of Truckee-Tahoe (CATT) will again host Build It Green so that you may easily renew your certification. This time, however, there will be two classes from which you may choose; Advanced CGBP/Remodel class, or the new Green Building Professional course.
Cost: $350 BIG member (and for a limited time CATT members) or $400 for a non member.

| Spring - around the corner?
There is still a lot of winter on the ground, but the days are warming up and the summer season is coming. SiGBA has a full plate of events to participate in and opportunities to get involved in the Green World. The 2nd annual EcoSymposium has partnered up with Earth Day at Squaw for a full weekend. Build it Green will offer another round of CGBP trainings, The Green Life Eco Fest will showcase whats happening in the Foothills region, and Tahoe GreenFest will return to Kings Beach. A FESTIVAL IN THE FOOTHILLS
May 21-22 Nevada County Fairgrounds
SiGBA's Foothills Chapter is bringing the spirit of greenFEST to the Nevada County Fairgrounds in May. The GreenLife EcoFest educates attendees on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle. We are creating a festival to inspire people and give them the tools needed to create change in their homes, businesses and communities. Vendors from all areas of the community are encouraged to participate. The areas include Green Building and Home Design, Energy Solutions, Retail, Business and Green Living, Alternative Healthcare, Regional Foods, Farm and Gardens, Alternative Transportation. There will be children's activities along with delicious food and drink. The greenlifeecofest.org website has a full list of vendors and there is still room for more. On Friday, April 22 SiGBA presents the second annual Tahoe-Truckee Eco Symposium at the Resort at Squaw Creek. This all day event features presentations from expert panelists discussing the social and economic challenges our mountain community faces in our attempts to live in harmony with the natural environment. The symposium will address our community's need for affordable housing, reliable transportation, sustainable jobs, recreation, and celebrate successes in reducing our environmental impact. |
| SiGBA offers Sales position | Part time, commission based sales position to sell membership packages to business and individuals in the building industry and other related fields. Able to work from home and on own schedule, self starter and motivated drive a must. Contact with clients to be conducted primarily over the phone and via email as well as all reporting to sales manager. Must have basic computer skills and willing to become familiar with Sales Force software.
