US Green Building Council
Build It Green is a professional non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the building industry so that buildings are remodeled and built using green practices and products. We are dedicated to creating healthy, durable, energy and resource-efficient buildings in California to sustain and enhance the quality of our lives and future generations.

Partnering with public agencies, building industry professionals, manufacturers, suppliers, and non-profits, Build It Green offers education and training, unbiased product information, technical assistance, and networking opportunities. Build It Green links consumers, building professionals, and green product manufacturers.

Building Green
BuildingGreen is a subscription-based online resource for environmentally sensitive design and construction. BuildingGreen offers a wide range of information - from articles and product listings to project case studies - to help you build a greener world.

BuildingGreen does not accept advertising or sponsorships. The Journal of Light Construction has called BG "...The single best source you can go to for staying up to date and well informed on all the (green building) issues."

Rocky Mountain Institute

Green California
Under the direction of Governor, the State of California is leading by example on energy efficiency and conservation, sustainability, green building and green purchasing practices. Through Executive Order S-20-04, known as the "Green Building Initiative," and the accompanying Green Building Action Plan, the governor calls for public buildings to be 20 percent more energy efficient by 2015 and encourages the private sector to do the same.
California State Recycling and Recovery
California's Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) brings together the state's recycling and waste management programs and continues a tradition of environmental stewardship.

American Solar Energy Assn (ASES)
The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is a national organization dedicated to advancing the use of solar energy for the benefit of U.S. citizens and the global environment. ASES promotes the widespread near- and long-term use of solar energy.

ASES publishes SOLAR TODAY, an award-winning bimonthly magazine that covers all renewable energy technologies. Regular topics include building case studies, energy policy and community-scale projects.

DOE Energy.Gov
This DOE site on energy efficient buildings provides information on technologies and issues that relate to saving energy in building, including the building envelope construction, heating and cooling, lighting, appliances, financing and building codes.
